One of the huge benefits to having such an incredible group of guys on our fishing team is the diversity they bring to the table. Each one of our TBO Fishing Team Members fishes slightly differently, has varied species of fish that they prefer to target, and have a priorities that differ from one another. Obviously this is only a small list of the possibilities that a Hobie Kayak provides, but hopefully these profiles should give you some ideas for your own kayak

    • Hobie Outback (x2) – “I own a pair of Outbacks because, in my opinion, they are the most versatile and all-around kayaks in the Hobie lineup”
      • YakPower Control Module to operate a pair of YakPower LED strips on the bow, and a pair of LED strips on the stern. These are used only as needed to alert boats to my location or let other anglers know that I might need some assistance with a big fish. Inside a pair of red YakPower button lights help for rigging and tying knots in the dark.
      • Lowrance Elite 7TI installed on the right side, just behind the mounts for Elliot’s stand-up bar – which he uses primarily in freshwater for sight-casting to largemouth, bowfin, and other species.
      • Sailing rudder and Square hatch are two of Elliot’s “essential” mods to the Outback
