Niantic River Appreciation Day – 19th Annual Kayak Regatta
Three Belles Outfitters is teaming up with Save The River – Save The Hills for their 19th Annual Kayak Regatta.
The schedule for the day/event is as follows:
10:00 am: River Parade (Meet at Sandy Point, on River)
10:30 am: The “Low Tiders” Perform at Grimsey Beach.
11:30 am: Kayak and SUP Races.
12:00 pm: Lunch – Clam Chowder from Flanders Fish and Hot Dogs from Three Belles Marina/Outfitters.
1:00 pm: Tribute to Fred Grimsey (Geoff Kaufman & Public Officials)
1:45 pm: Kayak Drawing (STR-STH Members Only)
About the day...
Parade
At 10AM, kayaks will meet in the Niantic River at Sandy Point for a parade up the river.
Launch points with parking at:
Three Belles Marina
Cini Park
Mago Point
Kayak Demos
Three Belles Outfitters will be offering free kayak and SUP demos at Grimsey Beach after the parade!
Grimsey Beach is located at 47 Oswegatchie Road, Niantic CT, 06357
There is no parking available at the beach – River Access Only
Food
Food will be provided by Flanders Fish Market (Clam Chowder) and Three Belles Marina (Hot Dogs) and will be served at Grimsey Beach at 12PM!
