From a very young age I was hooked on fishing…literally,  honing my skills on farm pond bass and the inshore species of Georgia’s Golden Isles as a youngster. Chasing bass was a daily occurrence as many neighborhood ponds were a short bike ride away. The USMC lead me away from home after high school and upon returning after my enlistment I had the opportunity to relocate to Texas.  I found out quickly that Texas was a sportsman’s paradise!  It’s many shallow bay systems allowed you to walk in to wade fish areas, so the fishing bug was back! Quick morning wades before surfing turned into figuring out how to access more water, which in turn, lead me towards kayak fishing around 2013!

The kayak definitely opened up a new world and stoked my competitive nature once finding out about tournaments later on.  Saltwater events started the obsession around 2017, but it wasn’t long before I found some bass events and jumped into those too!  Being close to the coast and some of Texas’ awesome lake fisheries has its perks!

Fast forward to present day and I have been lucky enough have some wins and solid finishes in both fresh/saltwater tournaments. My competitive drive and the camaraderie of those events are what draw me to them!

I am fortunate to have support of great sponsors as I joined the Jackson Kayak Fishing Team in 2018 and have climbed to the Factory level and the South Region Team Lead.  Other sponsor relations are Waterloo Rod Company, Torqeedo, Grande Fishing, Ketch Pro Team,  Beck & Masten Coastal Bend GMC, Yak Gadget Pro Team, and recently joined Team Daiwa.

I support conservation of our resources and have been a member of CCA for many years.  I am a current member of the Texas Outdoors Writers Association with monthly contributions to Saltwater Angler Magazine.  I also host a saltwater kayak fishing podcast called Chasin’ the Tide which is part of the PaddleNFin podcast network, plus serve as the Communications Director for the Kayak Saltwater Series.

I know there will be some big shoes to fill as I join a solid team of anglers on this Three Belles team.  I am looking forward to working with Three Belles and helping them grow along with the sport and community!
